Brainsparks and Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) last September 28,2017 at The Peninsula Manila Hotel during the 2017 Taiwan-Philippines Industrial Collaboration Summit.

The two organizations expressed their intention to cooperate and establish a formal window of communication through which both groups can share the latest industrial development news and collaborate on talent development, industry tours and forums.

Lionel Belen, Founder of Brainsparks said, “We see the MoU as a linkage that will help enable hardware and electronic startups here in the Philippines. We see this as a way of expanding our network so that entrepreneurs pursuing hardware or electronics ventures have a wider access to expertise both local and international.”

ITRI is a nonprofit R&D organization engaging in applied research and technical services, aiming to innovate a better future. Founded in 1973, ITRI has been dedicated to helping industries stay competitive and sustainable.

Co-hosted by the Chinese National Federation of Industries (CNFI) and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the 2017 Taiwan-Philippines Industrial Collaboration Summit is designed to connect the talent and leverage the re-sources of the Industrial Zone, Solar PV System, Machinery and ICT supply chains for both countries.

Brainsparks attaches great importance to collaboration with the ITRI, gaining yet another major international partner in the effort to promote its ideals on a global scale. 2017 Taiwan-Philippines Industrial Collaboration Summit is just one of the initiatives that Brainsparks supports to help aspiring entrepreneurs and startups, particularly those in the field of technology, accelerate.
